South Pasadena, CA

Just South of Pasadena is a Small Town - South Pasadena

Visit our historic Mission Street – home to an eclectic mix of unique boutiques. And Fair Oaks Ave. is part of the original Route 66. Here you’ll find a nostalgic soda fountain right alongside trendy cafes, shops and stops.

Great Schools Mean Business Here
The South Pasadena Unified School District’s schools are repeatedly ranked among the best in California. Great schools attract great people who like to live, work and play in their own back yard. And in 2008 we built a State-of-the-art track and field at the High School.

The Arts are Alive in SouthPas
For world-class theatre in an intimate venue, visit the Fremont Centre Theatre. The California Art Club started here 100-years ago, and today visual arts come to life at our annual Plein Air Paint-out, on our gallery walls. In May it’s the Eclectic Music Festival, and don’t miss the summertime Concerts-in-the-Park, or the Restoration Concert Series, benefiting the public library.

Pure Americana
Check out our Fourth of July Parade, known as the Festival of Balloons! And every New Years Day for over a century we’ve had a float in the world-famous Tournament of Roses Parade. For fresh, California-grown healthy foods, come every Thursday night to the South Pasadena Certified Farmer’s Market.

Par 3 for the Course
A treasure of Southern California is the Arroyo Seco Golf Course, offering affordable golf to the Los Angeles area in a secluded spot. The course features 18 holes of par 3 golf, a lighted driving range, putting green, miniature golf, restaurant & bar and pro shop facilities. Arroyo Seco boasts some of the finest greens in the area all year long.

Balancing Growth and Preservation
Situated at the end of America’s first freeway, we’re proud of our history, we’re balancing growth with preservation. Working proactively with our neighbors and state agencies on a palette of traffic improvements, South Pasadena has planned major changes to the 110 interchange on Fair Oaks Ave. Getting here – or wherever you’re going – will be easier than ever.

Don’t Pass by South Pas!
People come to play – and then they stay! Wonderful. Walkable. South Pasadena.
